About

Hug Box Israel was born from one mother’s heart and one simple truth:
When your child is far from home, you still want them to feel your love.

Meet the Founder - Elissa Fladell

Hi, I’m Elissa — a mom, an olah chadasha, and the founder of Hug Box Israel.

Like so many parents, I experienced that strange mix of pride and longing when my daughters went to Israel for extended programs.

I struggled with the same worries every parent feels:

Did they pack enough?

Do they have what they need?

How can I comfort them from thousands of miles away?

Suitcases were always too small.
And my heart always felt too big.

I wanted my daughters to feel cared for — even when I couldn’t physically wrap them in a hug — I wanted a way to turn love into something tangible. Something they could open, touch, and feel.

This longing became the spark behind Hug Box Israel.

What Makes Each Hug Box Different

Every box is designed with the needs of your young loved one in mind.

It’s not about filling space — it’s about creating a moment.

  • Items chosen for comfort, meaning, or fun
  • Hand-packed with care for the person receiving it
  • Optional personal notes (because your words matter)
  • Seasonal and holiday editions that feel like home

Whether it’s providing necessities, a birthday surprise, or simply “I miss you” — a Hug Box is your love in physical form.

The Heart Behind Hug Box Israel

Hug Box Israel began with a simple idea: sometimes the people we love need more than a message — they need something they can hold.

A care package, a box of comfort, a soft touch in a busy world.

Something that says “I see you, I’m with you, and I love you.”

I started Hug Box Israel because I kept hearing the same story over and over:

A child abroad, a friend in the army, a sibling far away — and the feeling of wanting to send comfort without knowing how.

So I started hand-curating boxes that feel personal, thoughtful, and warm — the way a real hug feels.
